I am replying to Isaac Bs’ Post 4- Designing for Interaction
Hi Isaac,
You made some good points in your discussion about the constructivist approach that really stood our to me as well as the suggestion to pause the video for class discussion, especially given example with Circadian Rhythms. It makes you think about how timing intentional questions with the video content can truly enhance students engagement with the material. I am focusing my interactive learning design on biases and stereotypes, so it is interesting to think about how a similar structure, such as a video with additional built in reflection moments, could apply to topics that are heavier or more personal.
Your suggestion about incorporating multiple choice questions. What do you think about using this method for tackling more abstract or emotional content? I wonder if the tone might shift because of it or there are other approaches that could be taken which are a little more sensitive.
Thanks for your post!
